The NFLPA is considering launching an investigation into whether New Orleans Saints tight end Coby Fleener should have been removed from a Week 12 game against the Los Angeles Rams due to a concussion, according to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio.
Fleener was diagnosed with a concussion after colliding with Rams safety Blake Countess, who was fined $24,309 for what the league deemed as a hit on a defenseless receiver.
The tight end was placed on injured reserve on Dec. 2.
Fleener finished the season with 22 receptions for 295 yards and two touchdowns.
