Jon Gruden is going back to where his NFL coaching career began - and it's set to be a lucrative reunion.

The Oakland Raiders are giving Gruden a 10-year deal worth approximately $100 million, sources informed ESPN's Adam Schefter. That would be the longest coaching contract in NFL history.

Sean Payton of the New Orleans Saints and Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks are the league's highest-paid coaches, each with a salary of $8 million. New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick, the winner of five Super Bowls, is third ($7.5 million).

There were reports that the Raiders' pursuit of Gruden included offering him a stake in ownership, though it's not clear if that ended up being part of the agreement.

In 2015, it was reported that Gruden's salary as an ESPN analyst was $6.5 million.
