Former Carolina Panthers general manager Dave Gettleman has emerged as the favorite for the New York Giants vacancy, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Gettleman served as the Panthers GM from January 2013-July 2017.
The Giants fired head coach Ben McAdoo and general manager Jerry Reese on Monday with the team posting a disappointing 2-10 record.
Gettleman has worked extensively for the Giants, serving as the team's pro personnel director from 1999-2011 before being promoted to senior pro personnel analyst for the 2012 season.
