The New Orleans Saints' dynamic running back duo may be running on just a single engine when they face the NFC South-rival Atlanta Falcons on Thursday night.

Mark Ingram, the league's fourth-leading rusher, will be a game-day decision for the pivotal Week 14 game due to a toe injury, according to Mike Triplett of ESPN.

Ingram's listed as questionable on the team's official injury report.

Ingram ranks fourth in the league with 922 rushing yards, with another 255 coming as a receiver. He has nine rushing touchdowns, already matching a career best set in 2014.

His absence would leave rookie Alvin Kamara with a full workload this week. Kamara has a total of 1,220 yards from scrimmage and 11 touchdowns while emerging as a favorite for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

This week's key divisional matchup comes with the Saints holding a record of 9-3, two wins better than the 7-5 Falcons. The two teams will meet again in Week 16 in New Orleans.

Saints rookie cornerback Marshon Lattimore is also listed as questionable with an ankle injury.
