Ravens' Smith carried off with Achilles injury

Baltimore Ravens corner Jimmy Smith was carried off the field in the second quarter Sunday against the Detroit Lions with an Achilles injury and has been ruled out for the rest of the game.

Smith started all 11 games and recorded three picks and nine passes defensed this season.

It would be a significant loss for the Ravens as they fight for a playoff spot with five weeks remaining in the season.
