UCF head coach Scott Frost has agreed to a seven-year, $35-million contract to become the new head coach of Nebraska, according to college football insider Brett McMurphy.

McMurphy added that Frost was reportedly having "serious cold feet and remorse" in the days leading up to Saturday's AAC championship game against Memphis.

Meanwhile, Nebraska's athletic director has been telling recruits that Frost has 90 percent of his staff in place, according to Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports.

The coach will now return to his alma mater, where he played quarterback from 1995-97.

UCF went 11-0 under Frost this season and beat Memphis in Saturday's conference title game.
