A misdemeanor assault charge stemming from a January 2016 incident has been dismissed against Johnny Manziel.
Manziel's ex-girlfriend alleged he hit her so hard that she temporarily lost hearing in one ear, and threw her onto his bed.
The former Heisman Trophy-winner faced a year in jail and a $4,000 fine but reached a deal with the Dallas Country District Attorney's office last year that would see his charge dismissed if he attended rehab and anger management classes.
Manziel has been incident-free in 2017 and was mulling a potential comeback prior to the NFL and CFL seasons.
