A group of New York Giants fans are using billboards to send a message to team management following the decision to bench quarterback Eli Manning.

The three electronic billboards, which read "Big Blue Shame on You," are located near MetLife Stadium on the New Jersey Turnpike, I-80 in Elmwood Park, and Route 46 in Totowa, according to Hannah Withiam of the New York Post. They first appeared Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters Wednesday, Giants owner John Mara admitted he wasn't expecting such a strong pushback from fans.

"I expected an emotional reaction from fans. It's been in excess of what I expected," Mara said. "Given what (Manning) has meant to our franchise, it's understandable."
