Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston will be cleared to return to practice Wednesday, provided he has no soreness in his throwing shoulder, head coach Dirk Koetter announced Monday.
Koetter added that Winston did some rehabilitation work with trainers Monday after undergoing an MRI.
Winston has been shut down for the past three games to rest the injury, with Ryan Fitzpatrick starting in his place.
Fitzpatrick has led the Buccaneers to a 2-1 record in Winston's absence, but at 4-7 in the highly-competitive NFC South, Tampa Bay is realistically out of playoff contention.
