Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor will miss the rest of the season due to a neck injury, head coach Pete Carroll confirmed Monday on ESPN Seattle, according to Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times.
It was already reported that the hard-hitting member of the Legion of Boom wouldn't be able to return this year.
Asked about Chancellor's future playing career, considering the nature of his neck injury, Carroll said, "It's really up to him."
The Seahawks now have to make a late-season playoff push without two of their star defenders, as Richard Sherman is already done for the year after suffering an Achilles injury.
