Report: Browns to activate Josh Gordon for Week 13 vs. Chargers
The Cleveland Browns plan to activate Josh Gordon in Week 13, meaning the wide receiver will return to an NFL field against the Los Angeles Chargers for the first time since December 2014, a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The NFL reinstated Gordon at the start of November on a conditional basis following multiple suspensions for failed drug tests.
"I felt pretty good," Gordon told reporters Friday. "I think I knocked that rust off prior to getting back into the building so that was what I was looking forward to do."
Gordon's return couldn't come at a better time for Cleveland. The Browns are still searching for their first win of the 2017 season, and their poor play at receiver has been a big reason for the 0-10 start.
The 26-year-old displayed elite talent before off-field issues derailed his career. He caught 87 passes for a league-leading 1,646 yards and nine touchdowns in 2013.
