Matthew Emmons / USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Falcons will be forced to play without its star running back for the second consecutive week.

Head coach Dan Quinn announced Friday that Devonta Freeman has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to a concussion, according to beat writer Kelsey Conway.

The ruling marks the second consecutive absence for Freeman, who suffered the concussion against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10.

Prior to the injury, Freeman had rushed for a total of 515 yards and five touchdowns on 116 carries, adding 137 receiving yards on 19 catches.
