Week 12 Betting Preview: Predictions for every matchup

Jim Brown / USA TODAY Sports

Each week during the NFL season, theScore's Dane Belbeck will handicap every matchup and offer up a three-pack of picks.

Week 11 record (includes TNF pick): 7-6-1
Overall: 84-73-3

Tennessee Titans (-3) at Indianapolis Colts

Both teams come in well-rested, as the Titans played last Thursday night and the Colts are coming off their bye week. In the previous game between these two AFC South clubs, Tennessee turned in one of its best offensive performances, piling up 36 points on Indianapolis. That success should continue on the road this week, as the Colts have only beaten the lowly Browns and 49ers at home this year. Look for Marcus Mariota to rebound from a dismal showing last week and turn in a strong performance to get the win. Titans 31, Colts 23

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+9.5) at Atlanta Falcons

Ryan Fitzpatrick is now 2-0 since taking over as Tampa Bay's starter after the shoulder injury to Jameis Winston, but has a tough road test in Atlanta on deck. The Falcons also come in hot after two impressive wins against the Cowboys and Seahawks. While Atlanta is certainly the better team, the improved play of the Bucs make 9.5 points too many to lay. Falcons 27, Buccaneers 21

Denver Broncos at Oakland Raiders (-5)

The Broncos are turning to quarterback No. 3 on the season by starting Paxton Lynch against the Raiders. That feels like pouring gasoline on a fire that's already raging. Raiders 24, Broncos 17

Remaining matchups

Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals (-8)

The Browns are 2-8 against the spread in their last 10 games, and until that trend starts to change, it's worth betting the opposition every time. Bengals 27, Browns 17

Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs (-10)

The Chiefs' Week 11 loss to the Giants is certainly one of the strangest results this season, while Sean McDermott's decision to start Nathan Peterman over Tyrod Taylor last week will go down as one of the strangest of all-time. Taylor is back under center, but it looks as though the Bills are a lost outfit right now. Chiefs 28, Bills 13

Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots (-16)

Not sure if a 16-point spread for a divisional game says more about the Patriots' dominance or the Dolphins' ineptitude, but either way, side with Tom Brady and New England. Patriots 34, Dolphins 10

Carolina Panthers (-5) at New York Jets

The Jets have struggled to stop the run this year, and the Panthers hold the league's seventh-best rushing attack. Five points is a lot on the road, but Cam Newton will do enough to cover the number. Panthers 27, Jets 20

Chicago Bears at Philadelphia Eagles (-13.5)

The Eagles are the most reliable team in the league with an 8-2 record against the spread. Until they prove otherwise, load up on Philadelphia at every chance. Eagles 30, Bears 7

Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers (+6.5)

The last time the 49ers took the field, they emerged with their first win of the season, and actually stand in a good spot to pick up their second win against a banged-up Seahawks outfit. They won't do it, but they will keep this one close. Seahawks 30, 49ers 27

New Orleans Saints at Los Angeles Rams (-2.5)

After ripping off four straight wins, the Rams finally lost last week on the road in Minnesota. The Saints are arguably the hottest team in football, but Wade Phillips should scheme a solid plan to limit New Orleans' offense. Rams 27, Saints 24

Jacksonville Jaguars at Arizona Cardinals (+5.5)

The Jaguars had no business covering the spread last week in Cleveland, but managed to do so thanks to a last-minute defensive touchdown. The defense is dominant, but Blake Bortles on the road as a favorite is scary. Jaguars 21, Cardinals 20

Green Bay Packers at Pittsburgh Steelers (-14)

After last week's stinker at home against the Ravens, the Packers with Brett Hundley at quarterback are a team nobody should bet on. Steelers 28, Packers 7

Houston Texans at Baltimore Ravens (-7)

The Ravens remain difficult to get a read on, but it's tough to see Tom Savage storming into Baltimore and playing well. Ravens 24, Texans 13
