Attorney for Uber driver asks NFL to investigate Darby
Counsel for an Uber driver accusing Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston of sexual assault is asking the NFL to investigate Ronald Darby after the Philadelphia Eagles corner came to his college quarterback's defense.
A female Uber driver in Arizona accused Winston of groping her on March 13, 2016. She alleges Winston was the only passenger in the car. Darby said in a statement Sunday morning that he was in the car with Winston and both were sitting in the back seat.
Attorney John Clune maintained that no one was in the vehicle besides Winston and that they are now asking the NFL to investigate Darby and demand he turnover his cellphone.
I have been retained this morning by the Uber driver who reported Mr. Winston sexually assaulting her in 2016. I would not anticipate any further interviews from her or lawsuits unless provoked by Mr. Winston.

Her sole purpose is to put other women on notice of this unacceptable behavior as so many other women have recently done.

And to be clear, no one else was in the car besides Mr. Winston and if anyone is “confused”, it isn’t the Uber driver.

Mr. Winston's friend from his FSU days is just making things worse by inserting himself into this.
We have asked the NFL this morning to investigate Mr. Darby and are demanding the he immediately turn his phone over to the NFL so the GPS history can be forensically examined.
