Brazilian football is reportedly continuing to supply its French counterpart.

According to ESPN FC's Jonathan Johnson, Paris Saint-Germain is set to sign Fluminense's Wendel, who will join PSG for a transfer fee valued in the region of €10 million in January and put pen to paper on a five-year contract. Antero Henrique, Les Parisiens' sporting director, was apparently in Brazil with Maxwell, the club's sporting coordinator, and they met the Brazilian midfielder while the Guerreiros' legal team finalised the deal in Paris.

PSG allegedly planned on loaning out Wendel so the youngster could gain some experience, but Thiago Motta's knee injury and surgery mean that he's needed by Les Parisiens sooner than initially thought.

Per Globo Esporte's Edgard Maciel de Sa and Hector Werlang, CSKA Moscow showed interest in Wendel, while Fluminense rejected a bid from FC Porto for the footballer in July.

Fluminense reportedly holds 90 percent of Wendel's rights. In April, he inked a contract renewal with the Guerreiros until 2020.
