Rivera expects Olsen to return vs. Jets in Week 12

Jim Dedmon / USA TODAY Sports

Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said the plan remains for tight end Greg Olsen to make his return from a broken foot after the team's Week 11 bye, according to Steve Reed of The Associated Press.

Olsen sustained the injury in Week 2 and is eligible to come off injured reserve in time to help the Panthers as they embark on a playoff hunt.

Rivera left open the possibility that the plan could change, but added that he likes where the veteran is at in his recovery.

Olsen had just three catches for 28 yards before he was sidelined. In his place, Ed Dickson has hauled in 25 passes for 382 yards and a touchdown.

Olsen will spend the bye week doing color commentary for FOX Sports.
