Report: Teams interested in Vontae Davis for playoff return

Vontae Davis may not be out of work for long.

A source told Adam Schefter of ESPN that teams have contacted the former Indianapolis Colts cornerback about a return for the playoffs.

Davis is currently sidelined with a groin injury that's expected to keep him out 6-to-8 weeks, but a handful of teams, including two involved in a chase for the playoffs, are interested in signing him with the hope he'll return in time.

The Colts released the former Pro Bowler on Thursday.
