Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin reiterated his belief that Thursday Night Football should be outlawed following a 22-16 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.

Baldwin injured his groin before the game but played through the issue, noting he wasn't physically ready to suit up after playing four days prior against Washington.

"This s--- is not OK. You can quote me on that. It has to change," Baldwin told Gregg Bell of The News Tribune.

"Thursday Night Football should be illegal."

Thursday's game was filled with injuries, most notably a season-ending ruptured Achilles for Baldwin's teammate and best friend, Richard Sherman. Several other members of the Seahawks suffered ailments in the game, including Kam Chancellor, Frank Clark, Shaquill Griffin, C.J. Prosise, Duane Brown, Jarran Reed, and Sheldon Richardson.

Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians also revealed D.J. Humphries, Tyvon Branch, and Ifeanyi Momah could all be placed on injured reserve with various ailments.

Player safety has been a point of contention for both players and the league, and many have spoken out against the dangers that Thursday games present.

Baldwin caught five passes for 95 yards against Arizona, including a 54-yard reception that set up a Jimmy Graham touchdown.
