Adrian Peterson must be a happy man.

The 32-year-old appears to be in the role he wanted when he was traded to the Arizona Cardinals, as the running back broke his career high for carries in a single game with 37 for 159 yards against the San Francisco 49ers.

His previous high was 35, set in December 2013.

Peterson had a total of 27 carries in four games with the New Orleans Saints before being traded to the Cardinals. He's now amassed a total of 74 carries over his first three games with Arizona.
