Report: Luck visited with specialists about lingering shoulder pain

Thomas J. Russo / USA TODAY Sports

Indianapolis Colts star quarterback Andrew Luck consulted specialists regarding his shoulder injury after experiencing pain following his return to practice a few weeks ago, Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reported on "FOX NFL Sunday," according to Nate Bouda of NFL Trade Rumors.

The Colts shut Luck down Oct. 18 and he received a cortisone shot. The veteran pivot hasn't practiced in the two weeks since.

If Indy can't determine why Luck is still experiencing pain 10 months after surgery, the club will have to shelve him for the rest of the season, Glazer reports.

The 27-year-old was expected to return early in the season, but his rehabilitation has stretched much further into the campaign than anyone expected.
