Report: Dolphins prepared to move on from Suh after season
The Miami Dolphins may be prepared to cut ties with their biggest free-agent signing after this season.
The team is reportedly ready to move on from defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, a source close to team owner Stephen Ross informed Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.
The Dolphins made Suh one of the league's highest-paid players by giving him a six-year, $114-million contract in 2015. Yet, in the years since, Miami has ranked 25th and 29th in total defense.
Suh is set to count $26 million and $28 million against the cap in the next two seasons, before a potential out in 2020, in which the Dolphins would incur a dead cap hit of just $4 million.
The former three-time All-Pro has had seasons of six and five sacks with the Dolphins and has 2.5 sacks through seven games this season.
