The New York Giants' wide receiver corps is set to receive a boost following the team's Week 8 bye.

Sophomore wideout Sterling Shepard - who suffered an ankle injury in Week 5 and hasn't played since - indicated he'll return after New York's week off.

"I'll be ready to go," Shepard said, according to Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.

The Giants will host the Los Angeles Rams in Week 9.

Shepard has caught 22 of 29 targets for 263 yards and a touchdown this season while primarily serving as the Giants' No. 3 receiver.

With Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall both ruled out for the season, however, Shepard should quickly rise to the top of a receiving group that's been led by acting starters Roger Lewis and Tavarres King.
