Eagles' Hicks out for season with torn Achilles

Bill Streicher / USA TODAY Sports

Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Jordan Hicks suffered a torn Achilles tendon during Monday night's victory over the Washington Redskins and will miss the remainder of the season, head coach Doug Pederson confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Hicks was injured early in the game and did not return.

This wouldn't be the first time Hicks has dealt with this type of injury, as he also suffered a torn Achilles in college at Texas.

It's a significant loss for the 6-1 Eagles, as Hicks had started every game this season and accumulated 28 tackles.
