Report: Freeney will visit Seahawks on Tuesday

Jason Getz / USA TODAY Sports

Free-agent defensive end Dwight Freeney will visit the Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday, Dave Mahler of 950 KJR reports.

Freeney last played for the Atlanta Falcons in 2016 and is a seven-time Pro Bowler. The veteran pass-rusher recorded 10 tackles and three sacks in 15 games last season.

At this juncture of his career, Freeney would likely be a depth addition for the Seahawks, who already boast Michael Bennett and Frank Clark at defensive end.

Freeney is one of the most prolific pass-rushers of all time, recording 122.5 career sacks, good for 18th in NFL history. Best known for his stint with the Indianapolis Colts, Freeney led the NFL in sacks during the 2004 season and won a Super Bowl in 2006.
