Green Bay Packers tight end Martellus Bennett announced Saturday in a since-deleted Instagram post that he's "pretty sure" he'll retire following the 2017 season.
Bennett, 30, joined the Packers last spring after winning Super Bowl LI with the New England Patriots.
He's playing in his 10th season, though his production has dropped off, as he's made 24 catches for 223 yards with no touchdowns through seven games.
Bennett is as well-known for his off-field exploits as he is for what he's done in football. The veteran tight end has written children's books and music, gave a TED Talk, designed shoes, and started a multimedia production company called "The Imagination Agency."
