Carr to return vs. Chargers after being removed from injury report

Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr will return to the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers after being removed from the injury report Friday, according to Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Head coach Jack Del Rio said Carr was expected to miss anywhere from two-to-six weeks due to a transverse process fracture in his back, but he'll only be forced to miss one game.

The fourth-year pro was able to practice in full Friday, added Gehlken.

Carr will try to end a three-game losing skid for Oakland upon his return.

The quarterback continued his strong play from 2016 during the first four games of the year, throwing for 753 yards and seven touchdowns against two interceptions.
