Browns bench Kizer in favor of Hogan after dismal 1st half
Scott R. Galvin / USA TODAY Sports
The Cleveland Browns benched rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer to start the second half of Sunday's game against the New York Jets, replacing him with Kevin Hogan.
Kizer completed 8-of-17 passes for 87 yards with one interception and a lost fumble as the Browns were shut out in the first half.
This is the third time this season that Hogan has had to enter the game after Kizer was either injured or benched. He's thrown nine interceptions so far this season as the Browns have yet to win a game.
