Trump asked Pence to leave Colts-49ers game if players kneeled

Mike Pence did not act alone.

After the U.S. vice president left the Indianapolis Colts and San Francisco 49ers game due to 23 players kneeling during the anthem, Donald Trump confirmed the exit was planned.

Pence also released a prepared statement after leaving the game, only a couple hours after tweeting he was excited to witness Peyton Manning's jersey retirement.
