Sponsor scoops up Prescott after cutting ties with Newton

Kirby Lee / USA TODAY Sports

Yogurt company Dannon has found a marketable replacement for Cam Newton after dropping the Carolina Panthers quarterback following his sexist remark to a reporter this week.

The company signed Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott the same day they distanced themselves from Newton, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Prescott is scheduled to film his first TV spot with Dannon this week.

The 2016 fourth-round draft pick led the Cowboys back to the playoffs last season and won the Offensive Rookie of the Year award in the process. As a result, Prescott has landed marketing deals with Pepsi, Campbell's, Frito-Lay, and Beats, and has appeared in ads for DirecTV and Champs Sports.
