Report: Bears' Young done for season with triceps tear

Matt Marton / USA TODAY Sports

Chicago Bears pass-rusher Willie Young will be out for the remainder of the season with a triceps tear that will require surgery, a source told Dan Weiderer of the Chicago Tribune.

Young led the Bears in sacks last season with 7.5. He is currently tied with Pernell McPhee and Akiem Hicks for the team lead in the category, each notching two sacks apiece.

The Bears have already lost linebacker Jerrell Freeman and safety Quintin Demps from their defense this season. Both defenders are currently on injured reserve and Young is expected to join them soon.

Second-year pro Leonard Floyd is expected to be asked to fill Young's role as a primary pass-rusher.
