The New York Yankees were cruising. They scored eight runs, six off Cleveland Indians ace Corey Kluber, and looked poised to run away with a Game 2 victory.
With the Indians trailing by five, Francisco Lindor came to the dish with the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth inning. Yankees reliever Chad Green had allowed only four home runs in 69 innings during the regular season. Cue up one more.
Lindor, perhaps out of sheer will, kept the ball fair as it cranked off the right field foul pole. It didn't tie things up, but it did bring the Indians within a run, making it less of a sure thing for the Yankees in the process.
