Dez Bryant: 'We're going to stand' for anthem Sunday

The Dallas Cowboys' demonstration ahead of and during the national anthem last week appears to have been a one time thing.

The entire team, including coaches, owner Jerry Jones, and his family, locked arms and took a knee on the field before the playing of "The Star-Spangled Banner." Together, they then stood and remained locked in arms during the anthem.

The Cowboys kneeled before the anthem as a sign of unity following critical comments about players who protest the anthem made by President Donald Trump. Though Jones suggested afterwards that it could serve as a template for protests going forward, the Cowboys don't plan on replaying the scenes of a week ago.

"We're going to stand," said receiver Dez Bryant to Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News. "We're going to stand and put our hand over our heart and we're going to do what we did before.

"Ya'll know what that was, that was just a response to Trump. That's all that was," Bryant said of the demonstration of a week ago.

A number of other teams, including the Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Steelers, have also declared that they will eschew protests in Week 4 and will stand for the anthem.
