The Philadelphia Eagles won't have the services of Fletcher Cox when they take on the Los Angeles Chargers this weekend.
Cox won't play due to a calf injury suffered last week against the New York Giants, head coach Doug Pederson confirmed to Tim McManus of ESPN.
"Somebody like Fletcher definitely draws a lot of double-teams, people slide protection in that direction, things of that nature," Pederson said. "It can affect you a little bit."
Pederson added that he didn't think Cox will miss multiple weeks, but his absence will certainly be felt against the Chargers.
The defensive tackle, one of the best in the league at his position, has tallied 30.5 career sacks.
