Clay Matthews breaks Packers record for career sacks

Cary Edmondson / USA TODAY Sports

Clay Matthews is officially the most prolific pass rusher in Green Bay Packers history, as the star linebacker set the franchise record in the first quarter of Thursday's game against the Chicago Bears.

With a strip-sack and fumble of Mike Glennon on the Bears' opening drive, Matthews registered his 75th career sack for the Packers, breaking the record held by Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila.

Matthews has spent his entire nine-year career with the Packers after being drafted out of USC in 2009.
