Rivera: Benjamin's MRI showed no structural damage in knee

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin reportedly avoided a major knee injury in Week 3, as head coach Ron Rivera confirmed Monday that an MRI revealed no serious structural damage.

"Kelvin's MRI came back pretty good. Nothing structurally wrong," said Rivera, according to Max Henson of the team's official site.

Benjamin was forced to miss the entire 2015 season after tearing his ACL in the same knee.

The 26-year-old has struggled to cement his position as Carolina's top wideout this season, catching just nine passes over three games.
