The New York Giants are optimistic that star cornerback Janoris Jenkins will return Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles after a one-game absence due to an ankle injury, Kimberly Jones of NFL Network reports.
However, Jenkins is still expected to be a game-time decision.
The 28-year-old was sidelined for the Week 2 loss to the Detroit Lions in which New York's defense gave up 24 points and Matthew Stafford finished with a 117.6 passer rating.
