Report: Jay-Z turned down Super Bowl halftime gig
Kyle Terada / USA TODAY Sports
The NFL has reasonable doubt that it'll be able to land Jay-Z to perform at the Super Bowl LII halftime show.
The hip-hop mogul has turned down the league's advances, according to Sha Be Allah of The Source.
Recent Super Bowl halftime performers included Jay-Z's wife, Beyonce, who headlined Super Bowl XLVII in 2013 and also performed with Coldplay at Super Bowl 50 in 2016.
Last season, Lady Gaga performed at Super Bowl LI and set a number of viewership records.
Super Bowl LII will be held at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota on Feb. 4.
