A torrid start to the 2017 season is paying dividends for Baker Mayfield and Mason Rudolph, as the two quarterbacks find themselves listed as the current betting favorites to take home this year's Heisman Trophy, according to Westgate Las Vegas Superbook.

Name Current Odds Previous Odds
Baker Mayfield (Oklahoma) 5/2 7/1
Mason Rudolph (Oklahoma State) 3/1 15/1
Sam Darnold (USC) 9/2 5/1
Lamar Jackson (Louisville) 5/1 8/1
Saquon Barkley (Penn State) 12/1 20/1
Josh Rosen (UCLA) 25/1 15/1
Royce Freeman (Oregon) 25/1 60/1
Justin Herbert (Oregon) 25/1 60/1
J.K. Dobbins (Ohio State) 25/1 15/1
J.T. Barrett (Ohio State) 30/1 10/1
Jalen Hurts (Alabama) 30/1 20/1
Nick Fitzgerald (Mississippi State) 30/1 100/1

Mayfield's leadership in Oklahoma's win over Ohio State is enough for some to validate his occupation of the top spot on the betting favorites list, and his 1,046 passing yards and 10 touchdown passes - along with the absence of an interception through three games - is more than enough icing on that particular cake.

Rudolph has been very much unstoppable during the Cowboys' first three games, with his latest performance - 23-of-32 passing for 497 yards and five touchdowns against Pitt - being the crowning jewel thus far.

Fellow quarterbacks Sam Darnold and Lamar Jackson are not far behind with 9/2 and 5/1 odds respectively, while Penn State running back Saquon Barkley, Oregon running back Royce Freeman, and Ohio State running back J.K. Dobbins highlight the leading non-quarterback favorites.
