Arbitrator Harold Henderson has advised the NFLPA and the NFL that he intends to issue his ruling on Ezekiel Elliott's appeal of his six-game suspension by the end of the business day on Tuesday, according to an NFLPA filing obtained by Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
The appeal was heard last week in New York, and the early expectation was Henderson would reveal his decision on Monday, giving the league and the Dallas Cowboys enough time to digest the information before the team's regular-season opener on Sunday.
Elliott was suspended six games by the NFL for violating its personal conduct policy. The running back has chosen to appeal the ruling and the NFLPA has issued a restraining order to block the suspension.
