Free-agent wide receiver Jeremy Kerley is visiting with the New York Jets on Tuesday, a team source told Mansih Mehta of the NY Daily News.
Kerley led the San Francisco 49ers in receiving yards and catches last season, but was a surprise release when the team cut its roster down to 53.
The pass-catcher spent the first five seasons of his career with the Jets.
Despite a trade for Jermaine Kearse, the Jets sorely lack proven receiving options. A reunion with Kerley could go some way to helping journeyman quarterback Josh McCown.
