Despite popular belief, there is no deadline for a decision from arbitrator Harold Henderson on Ezekiel Elliott's appeal of his six-game suspension, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

The hearing for the Dallas Cowboys running back's appeal lasted more than three days last week. A decision was expected to come soon thereafter, with the start of the regular season around the corner. With a reported deadline of 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Henderson is under no such direction to make a ruling by that time.

The NFLPA also filed a restraining order last week on behalf of Elliott to block the suspension, hoping he'll be granted a temporary injunction that will allow him to play at the open of the season.
