Roberto Aguayo will have to seek redemption elsewhere.
The embattled kicker was released by the Chicago Bears on Saturday, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter, weeks after the former second-round pick was waived by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in just his second NFL training camp.
Aguayo missed his only field-goal attempt for the Bears this preseason and was unable to present any significant challenge to starter Connor Barth, who, ironically, was released by the Bucs after they drafted Aguayo in 2016.
One of greatest college kickers of all time, Aguayo is now facing a fight to save his NFL career.
