The Seattle Seahawks have converted $6.97 million of wide receiver Doug Baldwin's $7.75-million base salary into a signing bonus, according to Field Yates of ESPN.com.
The move will free up $5.2 million in cap space with final roster cuts looming Saturday.
Baldwin caught 94 balls for 1,128 yards and seven touchdowns last season, leading the team in each category.
