Mitch Trubisky's impressive preseason took a rather conservative turn to cap off the rookie's first taste of NFL action.

After putting up a total of 354 passing yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions, and completing over 70 percent of his passes through the first three preseason games, the Chicago Bears gave Trubisky a very safe game plan.

The second overall pick did not attempt a pass in his first three drives, as the Bears failed to pick up a first down until their fourth possession midway through the second quarter. Trubisky attempted just four passes, completing two for only ten yards, and had one carry for one yard.

He was replaced by Connor Shaw in the second quarter following a drive where he took a hit out of bounds.

Some had hoped to see Trubisky make a final push to win the starting job from Mike Glennon, but with the way the Bears handled their young quarterback's final preseason appearance, it looks like they've already seen everything they need to for now.
