The Carolina Panthers added $2 million in incentives to tight end Greg Olsen's contract, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Olsen has been angling for a new contract but said he wouldn't skip any games in order to meet his goal.
The 32-year-old is one of the NFL's premier tight ends, earning Pro Bowl honors in three consecutive years, while being named as a second-team All-Pro during the past two seasons.
Olsen caught 80 passes for 1,073 yards and three touchdowns in 2016.
Ahead of the upcoming season, Olsen is scheduled to earn $6.5 million in base salary, carrying a $10.35-million cap hit.
