Sacramento Kings forward Zach Randolph has been charged with two misdemeanors - possession of more than one ounce of marijuana and resisting arrest - stemming from his Aug. 9 arrest in Los Angeles, according to TMZ Sports.

The 36-year-old reportedly attempted to flee when LAPD officers arrived at the scene following a call concerning a large group of people blocking the roadway while smoking marijuana and playing music.

Randolph was initially charged with felony possession of marijuana with intent to sell, though prosecutors have since reduced the charges to the two misdemeanors.

If convicted, Randolph could face up to a year in jail.

What's going in his favor, however, is that it's his first arrest, making it highly unlikely he receives any time behind bars, per TMZ.

Randolph spent the past eight seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies prior to signing a two-year, $24-million deal with the Kings this offseason.
