His arrival in Valencia marks the 24-year-old's return to Spain four years after leaving Sevilla for AS Monaco in 2012. After three seasons in the French city-state, Kondogbia was sold to Inter for a €31-million fee.

Securing his services beyond this season won't be cheap as Inter looks to recoup a majority of the transfer fee paid to Monaco. Inter will apparently hold out until a fee worth €25 million.

Kondogbia arrived in the Spanish city Sunday ahead of becoming Valencia's third signing in four days.

Defenders Jeison Murillo and Gabriel Paulista also joined Valencia last week.

Valencia may not be done either, with reports linking the Spanish side with another loan deal as the club closes in on a move for Goncalo Guedes of Paris Saint-Germain.
