Bills' McDermott confirms Taylor will remain starter after poor performance

Bill Streicher / USA TODAY Sports

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott confirmed to Buffalo News' Vic Carucci that he's not planning on removing Tyrod Taylor as the team's starting quarterback, following a poor performance during Thursday's 20-16 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Taylor went 8-of-18 for 53 yards and two interceptions, before T.J. Yates and Nathan Peterman entered the contest.

"We're always going to evaluate everything," McDermott said during his postgame press conference when asked if the Bills would make a change at quarterback.

McDermott's comments led some to believe that Peterman or Yates would be replacing Taylor, but the coach confirmed to multiple reporters that his incumbent's status isn't in danger.
