Wade unhappy with how his NBA 2K rating compares to LeBron's

Dwyane Wade and LeBron James have been considered equals, or peers, at least, for the majority of their 14-year careers.

Slowly but surely, though, a gap has grown between the two good friends. Wade is now firmly in decline, while James somehow remains at the peak of his powers. That widening chasm was reflected in their NBA 2K18 scores.

James received a stellar overall rating of 97, whereas Wade clocked in at 84 as a slightly above-average starter. Wade was none too pleased.

Wade will eventually retire as one of the best shooting guards of all time, and will undoubtedly be honored as a first ballot Hall of Famer. But it's hard to blame the 2K franchise for shorting him at this advanced point in his career.

The 35-year-old averaged 18.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists last season while shooting a paltry 43.4 percent from the field in 60 appearances last season. By on-off metrics, he had a slightly negative influence on both the offense and defense for an uninspiring Chicago Bulls team last season.

All that speaks to Wade being an average starter, which makes his score of 84 quite fair.
