Make yourself famous, Denis Shapovalov.

Canadian tennis history was made Thursday at the Rogers Cup, with the 18-year-old standout Shapovalov eliminating the second-ranked men's player on the planet in Rafael Nadal in the third round of the tournament in an epic three-set victory, 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (6).

Advancing to his first quarterfinal in an ATP tour event, the 143rd-ranked Shapovalov becomes the youngest quarter-finalist at a Masters Series tournament, and the second-youngest player to defeat Nadal.

He'll now face France's Adrian Mannarino, who knocked off South Korea's Hyeon Chung.
